Textile Asia 2026 Opens in Lahore with 2,000 Global Brands

    Textile Asia 2026 has officially opened in Lahore, bringing together more than 2,000 international brands and official delegations from over eight countries. The three-day exhibition highlights Pakistan’s growing role in the global textile industry by showcasing advanced textile machinery, digital manufacturing technologies, sustainable production solutions, and export opportunities while attracting investors, manufacturers, and buyers from around the world.

    The 32nd edition of an international textile exhibition featuring over 2,000 international brands and official delegations from more than eight countries is underway in Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore, state media reported on Sunday.

    The 32nd Textile Asia International Exhibition 2026 kicked off in Lahore on Friday, July 4th and is scheduled to continue till Monday, 6th of july. The exhibition aims to focus on the buying and selling potential of textile and garment machinery, clothing textiles accessories, raw material supplies, textile dyes chemicals and other sectors associated with the industry.

    Pakistan’s Textile Industry at a Glance

    Pakistan is the eighth-largest exporter of textile products in Asia, comprising 46 percent of the total manufacturing sector and providing employment to 40 percent of the country’s total labor force. Textiles remain Pakistan’s largest export sector, earning $17.97 billion last year, according to data shared by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association.

    “More than 2,000 international brands and over 425 companies are participating in the event, alongside official delegations from more than eight countries,” state broadcaster Radio Pakistan reported.

    These countries include China, Türkiye, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Russia, it added.

    The event is being organized by event management company Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan and is being supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The SIFC is a hybrid civil-military government body formed to attract international investment in Pakistan’s priority sectors.

    Radio Pakistan said the exhibition brings together manufacturers, investors, buyers and industry leaders from around the world, showcasing the latest developments in textile and garment machinery, digital technologies, and value-added manufacturing.

    “Supported by SIFC, Textile Asia 2026 is creating new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, export growth and industrial development, reinforcing Pakistan’s position as a competitive destination for the global textile industry,” Radio Pakistan said.

    Eco Textile Conference 2.0

    It said a conference titled: ‘The Eco Textile Conference 2.0’ is being held alongside the exhibition. It will feature discussions on green manufacturing, renewable energy, the circular economy and emerging global industry trends, the report said.

    Pakistan has sought to increase its textile exports as it eyes increasing investment and an export-driven economy.

    Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan announced in August 2025 the finalization of a five-year Textiles and Apparel Policy, and a National Industrial Policy aimed at making the industry regionally competitive, removing trade barriers and ensuring long-term export growth.
