Ferraro S.p.A. and Cibitex S.r.l. have jointly announced the completion of an agreement under which Ferraro S.p.A. has acquired the Finishing business unit of Cibitex S.r.l., marking an important strategic milestone for both companies and reinforcing their position in the global textile finishing industry.
The integration expands Ferraro’s portfolio of textile finishing technologies by incorporating Cibitex’s specialised know-how, engineering expertise and long-standing customer relationships. For Cibitex, the agreement ensures continuity of its Finishing business within an internationally established industrial group while creating new opportunities for future growth.
Commenting on the acquisition, Simone Ferraro and Leo Petruzio, Managing Directors of Ferraro S.p.A., said:
“This acquisition marks an important step in Ferraro’s growth strategy and strengthens our ability to offer increasingly comprehensive and innovative solutions to customers in the textile sector.”


Marco Cortiana, CEO of Cibitex S.r.l., added:
“We believe Ferraro is the ideal partner to enhance the potential of the Finishing business unit and to ensure continuity and development for the activities and people involved.”
The transaction was completed on 2 July 2026 in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
Pakistan Textile Journal recently visited Ferraro’s headquarters in Italy, where exclusive interviews were conducted with Simone Ferraro, Managing Director, Ferraro, and Roberto Gorri, Ferraro–Cibitex Sales Manager, to discuss the strategic vision behind the integration, the complementary technologies brought together by the acquisition and future opportunities for the global textile industry.

During the visit, PTJ also met Alex Zucchi, President of Ferraro, and discussed the company’s long-term vision for innovation and international market development.
