Changing of the guard at the top of ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Machinery Manufacturers for the Textile Industry. The General Assembly, held last July 4, called Marco Salvadè to replace Alessandro Zucchi as President of ACIMIT.
Born in Como in 1967 Marco Salvadè is married and father of two children. He started working at Salvadè Srl, a family company in the finishing machinery sector, founded by his father and uncle in 1967. After being a member of the company’s board of directors, he has held the position of President since 2021
Marco Salvadè has also been active in associative life for some time. In particular, since 2018 he has held the role of member of the ACIMIT General Council and since March 2023 he has been part of the Italian delegation at Cematex, the Committee of European textile machinery associations.
Following the election of Salvadè, the Assembly expressed warm thanks to the outgoing president, Alessandro Zucchi, who led the Association with enthusiasm and professionalism for six years.
Together with the new President, the Assembly elected the new Vice Presidents who are Messrs. Chiara Bonino (Bonino), Federico Businaro (Sperotto Rimar), Ugo Ghilardi (Itema) and Cristian Locatelli (Marzoli). Here are the first words of Marco Salvadè as president of ACIMIT: “ I thank the Assembly for the trust placed in it and my predecessor Alessandro Zucchi for everything he has done in these years of presidency in order to strengthen the role of the association and of industry Italian on the international scene. With the Vice-Presidents and the General Council, I will continue the work that has been done in recent years by the previous Presidents. It will certainly not be a simple task, but certainly stimulating .My goal is to increase the sense of belonging to ACIMIT of the associated companies with which we share the same values and to adapt the association’s strategies to the changing conditions that the economic and geopolitical context offers us”.
