Demonstration of Nazmatic - the new fabric inspection machine at Nazer Industries

Nazer Industries (Private) Limited held a live demo of their new Inspection machine model NAZMATIC at their premises in Karachi - Pakistan. Five “NAZMATICS” for denim fabrics application are being exported in November 2006 to Chittagong, Bangladesh. The newly designed fabric inspection machine model “Nazmatic’ is a unique machine by itself. It was specially designed by Nazer Industries (Private) Limited, not only to cater to most of the fabric inspection requirements of textile mills, but also to be a machine which could be compared technologically to any fabric inspection machine world-wide.

The salient features of the machine are given here for the interest of our readers.

  • The machine is fully inverter controlled with directly driven geared motors.
  • Tension and friction is controllable thus enabling the machine to work sensitive
materials as well as Lycra. This sensitive friction/tension control can be adjusted through inverters combined with mechanical systems.
  • The machine has an option for digital fault registration.
  • Sensors are equipped on the machine to control the edge of the fabric on a movable winding head as well as to auto-align the head. There is a further option via the sensors which can slow the fabric run or stop the machine as the pre-set length of fabric reaches the winding head.
  • The machine is equipped with a pneumatic batching arm for winding / unwinding of fabric from an A-frame.
  • This machine is also suitable to take fabric from an open plaited trolley through pull rollers.
  • The main panel which is free standing and installed by the side of the machine also has option to display operation mode as well as fault modes.
  • The entire electrical system is designed with a Printed Circuit Board which enables the setting of parameters and logistics as per customer requirements.
  • Variable speed and tension control have a separate digital display.
  • The main machine is equipped with an operator panel for easy access by the machine operator.
  • For fabrics like Lycra where overfeeding is required, the batch hardness can be controlled by a mechanical clutch.

Further development is taking place for the new model which will include a digital weighing-scale attached to the winding. This scale will be connected to a printer which will print the weight of the fabric which can then be attached to the fabric before being sent to the customer. This is a very important feature which will ensure the control of the fabric weight against the meterage.

The future machine will feature a modem enabling online entry into the machine for trouble-shooting and programming.

For reporting purposes, this machine will also come equipped with a digital fault registration coupled with a printer.
