Italian Textile Machinery Workshops in Thailand & Bangladesh

The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) and the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) will hold two technological workshops on Italian textile machinery in Bangkok on 14th and 15th December 2006 and in Dhaka on next 17th and 18th December 2006.

These workshops are the final step of a project carried out by ACIMIT and ICE whose goal is to evaluate the current state of technology in the finishing sector in Thailand and in Bangladesh, highlighting the installed production capacity and remarking the strengths and weknesses of the sector. To this end an Italian expert in the finishing sector, delegated by ACIMIT and ICE, visited some local companies. Subsequently a general report on the finishing sector in the two Countries and a specific report for each company was also realized.

Some Italian manufacturers of textile machinery for finishing process (Arioli, Biancalani, Corino, HTP Unitex, Laip, Maino International, MCS and Unitech)  also participated at these workshops, singled out on the basis of their capacity to provide concrete answers to the needs of the local companies.

The workshops are part of a promotional program that ACIMIT and ICE have been realizing for many years in order to strengthen the links between Italian textile technology providers and the local textile operators.
