The 61st edition of ModaPrima, the international exhibition of fashion collections and accessories dedicated to organised distribution, large-scale retail stores, retail chains, importers and wholesalers, will be held from the 26th to the 28th of November. The event is organised by Pitti Immagine at Fieramilanocity, at the MIC - MILANO CONVENTION CENTRE area in Via Gattamelata, 5, and will present an absolute preview of the trends for Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 as well as flashes of the Spring/Summer 2007 collection.
After the positive start in May, Pitti Immagine is continuing with an ambitious plan for the revival of the event that will propel it into a new phase of development and refinement of its specificities. The attendance figures during the last edition highlighted the growth trend that the salon has triggered: with a total of 1,992 visitors, the number grew by 10% compared to the November 2005 edition with more than 50% from abroad, and with massive participation from Japan, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Russia, France and Germany.
The great satisfaction expressed by the exhibitors was motivated not only by the large number of contacts but also by the excellent quality of the buyers.
ModaPrima is therefore emerging as an ideal international appointment, dedicated to the best companies that create clothing and accessory collections for women, men and children for private labels, programmed fashion and ready-to-wear clothing.
Quality, creativity and product segmentation are the keywords for an event which provides an incisive offer that foresees moments of information regarding the most recent trends in the fashion world.
The most innovative moods are the protagonists in the “area tendenze” (trend area), that will allow visitors to find their way amongst future trends and styles using images. This project was created in collaboration with the exhibitors and was inaugurated during the last edition with the Fashion Cube, managed by Sergio Colantuoni.
The exhibition’s original layout will be designed by the team of architects from Pitti Immagine, who will once again create an engaging and contemporary environment.
Pitti Immagine has also foreseen investments to advertise the event, so as to involve a growing number of qualified buyers and, in collaboration with ICE - Istituto per il Commercio con l’Estero (Institute for Foreign Trade), is organising a targeted plan of hospitality and promotion, which during the last edition attracted the presence of foreign delegations.
ModaPrima will thus become a strategic appointment for Italian and foreign buyers, who will find a product that can answer the requirements of organised distribution and retail chains during the exhibition without sacrificing a high content of style and quality.
At ModaPrima on the 27th of November the Chairman of CFMI, Alfredo Canessa, and Carlo Rivetti, Chairman of Sportswear Company, will present their work “The Value of Fashion. Industry and services in a sector guided by innovation” under Marco Ricchetti and Enrico Cietta (Bruno Mondadori, Milan 2006). This event is sponsored by the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana (Florence Centre for Italian Fashion) together with Hermes Lab.
