Yarn Expo Spring 2007 opens in China’s bustling capital Beijing, showcasing more than 100 yarn and fibre manufacturers from China and abroad. The was held concurrently with Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics 2007, at the China World Trade Centre, Beijing during 22 - 24 March 2007 in Shanghai, China

 Yarn Expo includes a range of natural, synthetic and regenerated and specialty fibres and yarns. Nearly 5,000 visitors from 47 countries and regions attended Yarn Expo Spring 2006. More than half were textile manufacturers.

 As the world leader in clothing and textile manufacturing, China has a tremendous demand for yarns and fibres. The country’s per capita fibre consumption nearly doubled between 2000 and 2005, from 7.5 kg to 14 kg and yarn imports grew 6% in 2006 over 2005.

Yarn and fibre producers have called Yarn Expo an essential destination for meeting Chinese textile manufacturers and other valuable buyers. Many international exhibitors are returning this year with new products to show, while several new companies are signed on to exhibit, including many from India and Pakistan. Other companies are coming from Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy and Singapore.

 Among Chinese exhibitors, many are the leading companies in their respective industries, selling products ranging from rabbit and camel hair yarn to natural silk and bamboo fibre to technical and chemical fibres.

 Yarn Expo held concurrently with Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics, a popular sourcing fair for apparel manufacturers. Intertextile Beijing is held this year in the China World Trade Centre as well as the Beijing Exhibition Centre. Many of the show’s exhibitors - textile manufacturers from China and abroad, are ideal visitors to Yarn Expo.
