Italian Textile Machinery at Texmac India 2007

About 40 Italian companies manufacturing textile machinery will exhibit in New Delhi for Texmac India International Textile Machinery Exhibition. At the Italian Pavilion TEXMAC’s visitors will find the most up-to-date Italian technologies in the spinning, weaving, knitting and finishing sectors.

Also ACIMIT, the Association of Italian textile machinery manufacturers, will exhibit with an own booth testifying the great interest of all the Italian industry to strengthen the relationship with the Indian textile operators.

Besides the attendance at Texmac India, in 2007 the ICE/ACIMIT promotional activity in the Country will regard a mission of Indian opinion leaders hosted in Italy, an advertisement campaign on some Indian textile magazines and the implementation of a survey on the Indian textile market.

The sales of Italian machinery in India were about Euro 117 million in the first eight months of 2006. The most requested Italian machinery were the weaving ones (37% of the total export toward India), followed by spinning machines (28%) and finishing machines (23%).

300 Italian companies (with 22,000 employees) that in 2005 produced machinery for a value of Euro 2,500 million, pay the highest attention to the requests of the textile industry to propose new solutions of innovation, productivity, safety with the utmost satisfaction of their clients.

The quality of the Italian textile technology is testified by the high number of Countries where the Italian machinery are sold: about 130. In 2005 exports represented 79% of total sales. Asia (with a share of 42%) is the main destination for Italian sector exports, followed by Europe (40%), Latin America (7%) and North America (6%).

The participation of Italian textile machinery manufacturers at TEXMAC 2007 has been coordinated by ACIMIT and ICE (Italian Trade Commission), through its offices in India and its head office in Rome.
