Thies GmbH & C0.KG, Germany -one of the leading suppliers of the discontinuous dyeing machines, recently held an “open day” at their Coesfeld headquarters which was attended by more than 160 customers from 21 countries.

Organised to present a number of new developments to medium sized dyers in the field of discontinuous open width dyeing, seeking product and production flexibility, the audience of experts was introduced to a novel concept in the field of Jigger dyeing in both its high temperature and atmospheric versions and a new beam winding machine.

The visitors also had the opportunity to spend time in the company’s ultra modern research facilities, where all currently available machines for yarn and fabric piece dyeing are available for customer trials.

The event concluded with a lecture on the companies range of chemical, dye and powder dispensing systems, directed at improving plant productive, process control and quality optimization.

The “product specific day”, which had been scheduled to take place between the major ITMA exhibitions of Singapore and Munich, received a strong endorsement from all participants.
