Swiss Business Council
Established in 2008, Swiss Business Council
(SBC) is a non-profit legal entity, registered by the Securities
& Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). It is a partner of
Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) which is a trade &
investment promotion authority of Swiss Government. SBC has an
alliance with the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) and
Asia Society Switzerland Foundation (ASSF) in Switzerland. The
SBC interacts very closely with its Patron-in-Chief, the Swiss
Embassy in Islamabad.
Since its official
inception, SBC has been working diligently to support Swiss
entrepreneurs and promote Switzerland as a business location.
S-GE has a role as a center of excellence for
internationalization to foster exports, imports and investments,
to help their clients develop new potential for their
international businesses and to strengthen Switzerland as an
economic hub. Since SBC’s partnership with S-GE in 2014, the SBC
is on a runway to further augment the bilateral trade and
investment relations between Switzerland and Pakistan.
Mr. Mujtaba Rahim, President,
Swiss Business Council.
SBC coordinates with its
55 strong members to promote bi-lateral trade ties. The business
development also takes into account the exchange of information
and learning for the experiences of the trading enterprises.
Another important area of activity includes building cultural
bonds between Switzerland and Pakistan as both countries are
blessed with a rich cultural heritage.
