Savio Group shares new products

Savio Group, a leader in the yarn finishing sector presented new products focused on automation, Industry 4.0 concepts and sustainability at ITMA 2019.

The group highlighted its innovative developments from the past four years while drawing attention to new technologies developed by Savio, Loepfe, Mesdan, BMSvision, Sedo TreePoint and Sedo Engineering.

Savio Group's newly appointed CEO, Massimo Giussani, summarised the companies' product developments: "A word to describe Savio Group is innovation,” he says.

Savio, a producer of automatic winders, twisters and rotor spinning frames, revealed its new OE HelioS, a hybrid technology offering more efficiency, with rotor speeds up to 125 rpm and take-up speeds up to 250m per minute. Elsewhere, Swiss brand Loepfe, which offers yarn quality control systems, shared its YarnMaster PRISMA. The product utilises smart sensor technology to offer a universal and multi-dimensional approach to quality control.

Industry 4.0 concepts were also brought to the fore by sensor system developer BMSvision, whose newest monitoring system Argus utilises cameras to observe yarn quality. Most innovative however, the company says, is its new MyMES App, a maintenance program that can be linked to a smart bracelet for real time alerts, "wherever, whenever" regarding the status of machinery.

Sedo TreePoint also shared its RGB control software, Ecomat, for optimised processing. The product is able to reduce rinsing time and cycles, according to the company.

Most pertinent to audiences with sustainability and ecological concerns was start-up Sedo Engineering, which shared its Smart Indigo process with the audience.
