IGATEX Pakistan 2018 concludes with
record breaking results
The 11th edition of International Garment, Textile Machinery
Exhibition (IGATEX) organized by FAKT Exhibitions (Pvt) Ltd.
opened its doors on 26th April, 2018 at Lahore Expo Centre.
The first day of the show saw a great number of visitors
during the show. The year IGATEX was even greater in scale than
previous editions as it took place in three halls of Lahore Expo
Centre, and drew participation from more than 550 exhibitors
from 32 countries.
The most significant participation was from China with 98
exhibitors, followed closely by Italy with 94 exhibitors and
Germany with 77 exhibitors. Other international exhibitors were
from Japan, Turkey, Russia, Switzerland, France, UAE, USA and
The exhibition also showcased stand-alone demonstrations of
various cutting edge industry tools and technology and the
latest machinery, chemicals and equipment used in the textile
industry was featured in the display.
A two day international conference was attended by leading
industry professionals, where International and local speakers
shared their knowledge and experiences with the audience. The
conference topics related to technical textiles, merchandising
and the supply chain were discussed by some of the renowned
speakers like Dr. Tanveer Hussain - Rector, National Textile
University; Dr. Yasir Nawab - National Textile University;
Dr.Hafsa Jamshaid, National Textile University; Theo Verweerden,
Lamoral Coatings B.V., Claudio Bertolotti, Mesdan Spa; Marino
Bazzoni, EFI Reggiani; Michael Bo Kristoffersen, Brueckner
Textile Technologies; Bruno Caffieri, Picanol N.V. and many
Mr. Saleem Khan Tanoli, CEO of FAKT, said that IGATEX
Pakistan 2018 provided a premium platform for all textile
stakeholders, government regulators, associations and academia
to enhance business networking, knowledge sharing and to build
profitable relationships in the long run.
The most important objective of organizing this exhibition
under one roof was to pinpoint and highlight new investment
opportunities in Pakistan’s textile sector. This event was the
ideal venue to build and develop business relationships with key
professionals so they may discuss the dynamics of development
and growth of the industry.
