PRGMEA has collaborated with Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd to bring this landmark event to the market. It is fortuitous that the exhibition is in line with the government’s agenda to promote and encourage investment in the textile sector of Pakistan. This event fully reflected the investment potential Pakistan offers for growth in the textile sector.

The objective behind this theme is to facilitate relocation of textile and garment industry from China to Pakistan, value addition, increase investment, Joint Ventures and technology transfer from China to Pakistan. With the momentum of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, a world of opportunities has opened up, with an increase in fundamentals of industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China, Under CPEC project Government of Pakistan is keen to link Chinese Small Manufacturing Enterprises with Pakistani SMEs. Likely due to cost effective factors of production, a number of Chinese firms are expected to relocate their production units in Pakistan. China needs markets for its products and searches for raw material. Pakistan needs access to technology and equipment to boost its industrialization process, while it has abundant untapped raw material.

According to Mr. Ijaz A. Khokhar, Chairman, PRGMEA, “We appreciate that the present government has identified textile as a key priority area and is making all possible efforts to set the right policies and incentives that encourage private sector investment in value addition and expansion in a bid to gain wider access to the international markets.”
