Unopposed elections in KCCI reflects last year’s
performance
Majyd Aziz, ex-President, Aamir Abdullah Zaki, ex-Senior Vice President, and
Saqib Naseem, ex-Vice President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have
congratulated the unopposed elections of the President and Managing Committee of
KCCI. In a press statement, the three office-bearers stated that this is a
manifestation of the acceptance by general members that the performance of KCCI
during their term as office-bearers was exceptional, productive, and in the
larger interest of the membership.
The three ex-office-bearers further added that during their term they, alongwith
the members of the Managing Committee and the Chamber staff, worked diligently
and sincerely for the cause of the Karachi Chamber members. KCCI became a
powerful trade body and highly acclaimed by international organizations and
individuals, including the US Congress, the diplomatic community, and foreign
media. They added that KCCI undertook the cause of the small traders and lobbied
effectively to resolve their major issues.
They moreover added that KCCI took the lead in women empowerment programs and
ensured that the rights of women entrepreneurs were protected and promoted. The
Chamber organized a record number of local and international projects for women.
KCCI also was able to get its Police-Chamber Liaison Committee notified with
representation from all law-enforcing agencies. They said that the highly
successful trip of the KCCI delegation to USA further added to the stature of
the Chamber. |
