Shahzad Arshad elected as the Chairman of PCFAMEA

Dr. Shahzad Arshad has been elected as the chairman of Pakistan Cotton Fashion Apparel Manufacturers and exporters Association for the year 2007 – 2008. According to a press release from Dr. Arshad, The export based apparel industry, is at the moment going through tough and critical situation and the main reason behind this crisis is the fact that we the Pakistani manufacturers and exporters are not getting a level playing field as compared to our regional competitors and the cost of doing business is going high in our country.”

He is also the director of Rauf Textile and Printing Mills (Pvt) Limited and also serving as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Lesotho in Pakistan. His also holds several important portfolios such as the Chairman of Federation of PAkistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Standing Committee on Textile and Ancillary and holds of life memberships of the following: SAARC Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Karachi Council of Foreign Relations, Economic Affairs and Law and also a member of State Bank Of Pakistan, Standing Committee On Credit Advisory.
