Tariq Sayeed as new President of Saarc

The Executive Committee of Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) elected Pakistani veteran trade leader Tariq Sayeed as its President for the next two-year term.

Iftikhar Ali Malik was elected as Vice President SCCI, Pakistan Chapter, in the 41st executive committee meeting held in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by outgoing President Dasho Ugen Tscchup Dorgi.

Both business leaders soon after assumed charge of their new offices and responsibilities.

According to a release, Zubair Ahamd, Faiz Rassol, Muhammad Ali Jogezi, Shakil Ahmed Dhingra and Iftikhar Malik were elected as new members of the executive committee, while Faiz Eahi, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Saeed, Zaharia Usman and Muhammad Naseem Davi were voted as members of the SCCI General Assembly.

Seven new Vice Presidents of SCCI from India, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, along with the executive committee and general assembly were also elected.
