NWFP invites proposals on Carpet Village

The Government of NWFP has invited proposals from carpet exporters on establishment of Carpet Village at provincial metropolis and agreed to launch a number of projects for promotion of carpet sector in the province. Decision into this effect was taken in a meeting of Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA) delegation with Managing Director, Sarhad Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), and Akbar Khan.

Presenting his proposals, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi, Members Executive Committee said that President, General Pervez Musharraf has stressed for promotion of export in his agenda. He said that carpet industry of NWFP was growing with high speed. Former Chairman APCEA, Mazhar-ul-Haq called for facilitating carpet exporters to increase export of the commodity.
