Barclays Plc have acquired 5.02% of Rieter's shares

Barclays Plc, 1 Churchill Place, London, E14 5HP, has informed Rieter Holding Ltd., Winterthur, that it currently holds 223,640 registered shares in Rieter Holding Ltd.

This is equivalent to 5.02% of the total voting rights. According to the notification by Barclays Plc the limit of 5% of the voting rights was exceeded on October 30, 2007.
