Efforts on to upgrade ginning machinery

Technology Up gradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) is presently engaged in the improvement of the existing ginning technology besides introducing world class ginning practices to help country’s textile sector come at par with its international competitors. This was stated at the third meeting of the Reconstituted Ginning Task Force.

Speaking on the occasion Suhael Ahmed, CEO TUSDEC said that the efforts for upgradation of the ginning sector were being made in collaboration with Engineering Development Board and the stakeholders from the ginning sector with Bismillah Factory as the model factory for development of the machinery.

The target is to be able to produce reliable, repeatable cost-effective ginning machinery by developing a set of drawings and tooling for production units to use and manufacture these machines. The present-day machines in use are using outdated components and design and there is a dire need to upgrade keeping economic ginning in prime focus.
