New Montex 7000 TT stenter designed specifically for technical textiles finishing

The new Montex 7000 TT from A. Monforts Textilmaschinen introduces a completely new concept of finishing specifically for coatings and the technical textiles sector. Meeting all the requirements for finishing of technical textiles, the Montex 7000 TT provides the highest product quality with absolute uniform drying.

The new TT stenter features 4 m long chambers/ modules compared with the standard 3m long units. For coating purposes, the extended chamber provides an absolute even nozzle pressure.

A single gas burner or heating element and two ventilators per chamber therefore make, for example, a coating line comprising three 4 m chambers more economic than four 3 m chambers.

With the second and subsequent chambers installed in secondary centre type modes absolutely homogeneous distribution of air flow is assured. Featuring left/right symmetrical integrated exhaust air ducts, the Montex 7000 TT operates at a nominal process temperature of up to 190°C. For special technical processes, an optional version is also available for applications requiring temperatures of 300°C or above.

TwinAir-X

The Montex 7000 TT introduces the new TwinAir-X circulating air system with a cross-type arranged nozzle system for an absolute homogeneous air and temperature distribution for the upper and lower process-air, required for coating processes.

The TwinAir-X system offers reduced production costs thanks to optimised energy consumption. Each 4 m drying compartment features optional fan outputs of 7.5 kW, 11 kW or 18.5 kW using energy saving frequency controlled EFF1 type fans.

Developed specifically for technical textiles, the TwinAir-X nozzle system provides double lock air flow into and across the fabric run. The nozzle supply air ducts and the nozzles can also be cleaned without them being removed.

High efficiency, 150 mm insulation line the drying compartments.

All types of heating are suitable for the system including gas direct, gas indirect (Exxotherm), thermal oil, steam, hot water and electric heating.

For the first time, Monforts proven elevating doors are fitted on both sides of the stenter providing optimum access to the stentering chains, nozzles, gas burners, heat exchangers and the fabric.

Flameless infra-red pre-dryer

The optional front end in-feed features an integrated gas-fired infra-red flameless burner for pre-gelling foams.

The pre-dryer can be accurately adjusted to enhance performance. Improved temperature distribution of fresh air intake in the first drying compartment is assured. An automatic cut-off eliminates any fabric spoiling.

‘Golden’ stentering chains

The new stenter includes the latest Hercules ‘Golden’ stentering chain providing more than 10,000 hours re-greasing intervals.

The system features fully encapsulated bearings which ensure that the roller chain runs dry through the stenter. It requires minimum lubrication thanks to Monforts patented direct lubrication injected into the bearing.

Heat recovery

Monforts Energy Tower 7000 ‘stand alone’ heat recovery system is also available with the TT stenters. The ‘stand alone’ cabinets installed alongside the stenter feature five integrated heat recovery modules. With the Monforts system capitalising on the high temperatures of the exhaust air to heat the fresh air entering the stenters savings of up to 30% in energy costs can be achieved.

The new stenter also offers CO² fire protection and an ATEX (ex-proof) certified version for specialised coatings containing hazardous chemicals is available.

A ‘Condensate Protect’ option is also available with dry panels and a drain for condensate removal on completion of coating treatment.

Qualitex control systems

Either of Monforts Qualitex control systems can be used with the new Montex 7000 TT. The Qualitex control systems can be used with the new Montex 7000 TT. The Qualitex 540 features touch screen control for many of the most important production parameters. It is also prepared for the Monforts online assistance teleservicing with language changeover if required.

Qualitex 750 is a fully programmable logic process controller and is expandable and adaptable for all tasks associated with in modern textile finishing.

New ‘Stand Alone’ heat recovery option from Monforts

A new ‘stand alone’ heat recovery option for thermo-treatment machines and Montex stenters from Monforts is eminently suited for installations where space above the machine is restricted by low ceilings.

A new modular ‘stand alone’ heat recovery system Energy Tower 7000, is introduced as a compact working option for thermo treatment machines and Montex stenters, where space above the machine may be restricted by low ceilings.

The Monforts Energy Tower 7000 can be used for hot flues, relaxation dryers and continuous dyeing ranges and also retrofitted to existing Montex stenter installations. The new Energy Tower is suitable for Infra Red dryers up to 250°C used in thermal, curing and dyeing processes.

Fresh air, passed through the heat recovery system is heated by the exhaust air before entering the respective thermo-treatment unit. With the Monforts heat recovery system, capitalising on the high temperature of the exhaust air, savings of up to 30% in energy costs can be achieved.

The Energy Tower, housed within a 1.30 m X 1.70 m X 2.9 m high cabinet, features integrated ventilation with noise protection.

Large access doors make the system easy to service and maintain. The exchanger tubes within each module, for example, can easily be cleaned at ground level using just high pressure water. Any condensate can also be easily be collected.
