Advantage India - Textiles and Apparels Conference

The Textile Association (India) Ahmedabad Unit is celebrating its DIAMOND JUBILEE YEAR in respect of that, TAI-Ahmedabad Unit will be hosting International Conference & Exhibition during January 2008 which is expecting over 1000 delegates from India and overseas.

The theme of the conference is “Advantage India- Textiles and Apparels” covering whole gamut of Apparel, Home, Industrial Textiles and Garmenting, Branding and Retailing. Leading international and domestic speakers are expected to participate in two days conference.

The Textile Association is also organizing INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF TEXTILE MACHINERY & ALLIED SECTORS - TMEx’08 during 4-6 January, 2008 at Ahmedabad Gujarat, India.

Fashion show is organized on 4th evening and also entertainment programme is planned on 5th evening. During the conference there will be the Poster Presentation session, which will be covered subjects like Fibres, Spinning, Weaving, Chemical Processing, Knitting and Garment technology, Mill Engineering, Technical Textile and Environment Issues.

Both events are supported by the Ministry of Textile Govt. of India and Gujarat Government and Lead Sponsored by The Reliance Industries.

The Textile Association (India) is the professional organization having membership of more than 20000 technocrats, managers and scientists working in the textile industry. This association has 27 units spread over India having Central Office at Mumbai.

The Ahmedabad Unit of the Textile Association (India) is the second largest unit in India having membership of over 4000 members and was founded on 16th November 1948.

Ahmedabad is India’s premier textile hub and a major industrial and trading centre, and nowadays is considered as a Denim City of India, located about 550 kms, north of Mumbai is also becoming a destination for textile executives from all over the country and also abroad seeking strategic alliances with Indian textile manufacturers.
