Textile & apparel exports to United States

Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) recently forecasted that the country will earn $7.5 billion in exports, achieving its target of 2007. So far, exports growth of the textile and apparel industry is standing stably at 25% and shipments to its biggest market, US, have been recovering because of the support from its importers. Local experts and enterprises are hoping that the DOC will stop monitoring mechanism or any measure like anti-dumping on Made-in-Vietnam textile and apparel products. Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has recently approved list of 10 industries, recognizing them as key driving factors of economy. Textile and apparels are named in the list which lasts from 2007 to 2010.
