Technical Textiles industry is also covered under TUFS

The Indian Minister of State for Textiles, Shri E.V.K.S. Elangovan said Technical Textiles industry is also covered under the centrally sponsored financial assistance schemes like Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS) and Scheme for Integrated Textiles Park (SITP).

TUFS is a unique industry specific scheme to provide funds to the textile industry at internationally comparable rate of interest. SITP is a new scheme for Integrated Textile Parks launched by merging the two ongoing schemes for textile sector i.e. Apparel Park for Exports (APE) and Textile Centre Infrastructure Development (TCID) Schemes. The scheme envisages creation of 25 textile parks for international standards at potential growth centre by 2007-08.
