French textile manufacturers meet
with English buyers
The inaugural “The Best of French Fabrics” (BoFF) last year ensured a successful
beginning for French fabrics being offered to the British market. Top names, new
products and luxurious atmosphere generated positive feedback from exhibitors
and visitors.
The Best of French Fabrics 2nd edition, where the French textile manufacturers
meet with English buyers, was organized by the association of France Tissu
Maille held in the heart of London in the prestigious Café Royal/Le Méridien
Piccadilly Hotel on October 23rd 2007.
A French fabrics show-room presented the latest trends as well as the best in
class French cloth weavers, knitters and lace makers’ collections. In addition
to the static exhibition, the BoFF 2007 will also have conference on current
market trends and the latest design concepts by one of the top five worldwide
trend-setter offices.
This time the BoFF also invited key French manufacturers of eco-friendly textile
with emphasis on organic cotton, linen, bamboo, lenpur and natural fibres to
provide an ideal platform for sourcing high value-added textile products. Today,
when environmental concerns are not only headline news, but also trendy, the
French manufacturers are getting involved in ecological issues by producing more
and more 100% bio fabrics.
