Clariant At the
cutting edge of textile effects
Innovative chemicals and dyestuff
solutions from Clariant at ITMA
|
At ITMA, Clariant and its partners
presented three highlights: a new generation of
fluorocarbons, a one -stop service for continuous process
dyeing and a competitive sulphur system for denim and
casual wear. |
The Clariant stand at the ITMA trade fair was the place to
talk to the experts and discuss many ways in which Clariant
meets specific textile needs of its partners – mainly textile
mills, retailers and brand owners. The latest developmnets
include the following.
-
New generation of fluorocarbons: Such
as Nuva® N series at ITMA, an innovative range of products
based on C6 chemistry that are classified as PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic
Acid)-free below limit of detection and also offer the same
high performance as delivered by C8 chemistry.
-
One-stop service for continuous process dyeing:
From pretreatment, through dyeing to finishing, Clariant has
the right product for you all the way to the finished textile
article. A single source from A to Z.
-
Global ideas for denim and casual wear:
Clariant also has much to offer in terms of linking design
capabilities with sustainable production processes and quality
performance by its competitive sulphur system for garments and
fabric treatments.
Clariant’s comprehensive range of products and services
offer additional value to various applications, such as
hometextiles, sports wear, work wear, swim wear, outdoor
indoor carpet, automotive technical textiles as well as
fashion business.
With the outstanding effects Clariant integrates into
textiles at home, the company’s goal is to make the lives of
millions of people more secure and healthy – and provide them
with comfort at home. Body climate control, breathable
fabrics, moisture transport, soil and water repellency as well
as color fastness are just a few of the effects that both
amateur and professional athletes are seeking when buying
sports related garments and other products.

The range of color tools provided by Clariant will
facilitate color design, matching and assessment
significantly, whether you choose customized or off-the-shelf
color. For off-the-shelf color, our partner Pantone, Inc.
– also at ITMA – is the authority and provider of professional
color standards for the design industry worldwide. Clariant
and Pantone have cooperated to produce SMART – a color
system that complements Clariant’s own customized color
management service Archroma®.
Sanitized®, Clariant’s partner and the specialist
for safe and durable antimicrobial protection for textiles and
plastics, showed its latest developments for home textiles,
active wear and much more.
Clariant, which is represented on five continents with over
100 group companies, employs about 21500 people. Headquartered
in Muttenz near Basel, it generated sales of around CHF 8.1
billion in 2006.
