Drapilux wins the Trevira CS Award

The German textile manufacturer drapilux was awarded the Trevira CS Award at Decosit in Brussels at the beginning of September. For many years now, Trevira has been making awards to its clients’ collections according to aspects of ‘Technical Innovation’, ‘Design’ and ‘Creative Implementation of Ideas’. This year drapilux won over the jury with the “Best of Hotel“ collection, which simplifies the stylish furnishing of commercial property as a result of six colour worlds.

Drapilux has been using Trevira CS in the production of its textiles since 1980. Nowadays, the textile manufacturer is one of the largest suppliers

Presented to the public for the first time at Decosit, the “Best of Hotel” collection comprises decorative textiles as well as upholstery and curtain fabrics which have already been tried and tested in hotel properties. The particular added value of the collection lies in the composition of the textiles. A total of six colour worlds is available to interior designers: Sundown, Limone, Natura, Indigo, Terracotta and Graphite. In terms of texture and colouring, the textiles have been selected in such a way that they can be combined stylishly, picking up on current trends. Besides plain fabrics in subtle cream, beige, brown and grey, there are also coordinated stripe patterns and matching floral designs based on the same colour choices. The fabrics range from stylishly classic to young and modern.

Drapilux competed against 117 other entrants, who were also represented at Decosit with Trevira collections, to receive the coveted first prize. In fact the award is a reward for the corporate philosophy, where the mix and matching of colours are taken into account across all collections right from the early stage of developing new designs.

Moreover, the fabrics are distinguishable by the renowned, tried and tested drapilux additional intelligent functions, for example the air-freshening effect of drapilux air, which breaks down unpleasant odours, e.g. in smoking rooms. Also available from the “Best of Hotel“ collection are drapilux acoustic fabrics which enable room acoustics to be configured on an individual basis.
