Oerlikon Textile Monitoring Centre of Competence

Oerlikon Group have created a Centre of Competence for Textile Quality Monitoring Systems. This has been achieved by merging the responsibility for all Oerlikon’s leading range of Quality Monitoring Systems, from Oerlikon Textile Components, Oerlikon Barmag and Fibrevision, into one company; Oerlikon Fibrevision Ltd.

This new company will be part of the Oerlikon Textile Components Business Unit and it will be managed by Malcolm Hinchliffe, one of the Founders of Fibrevision and previously a director of Reiter-Scragg. This merger of the Monitoring businesses will result in substantial synergy and efficiency benefits for the customer and demonstrates the commitment of Oerlikon Textile Components to continue to provide customers with innovative value added products.

All current monitoring product; Unitens, Win OLT, Fraytec and FibreTQS, will continue to be offered for fitting to the full range of machinery for extrusion and processing of Synthetic Filament Yarns, both direct to end users and other machinery manufactures as well as integrated equipment on Oerlikon Textile Machines.

Whilst Oerlikon Fibrevision Ltd. will be based in Macclesfield UK, key staff will also be retained in Remscheid, Wattwil and Hammelburg to ensure that customer service is maintained at the highest level.

By bringing together well established products with Fibrevision’s cutting edge technologies, monitoring expertise and applications knowledge, Oerlikon Fibrevision will provide customers with market leading products for all processes with focused sales and unrivalled support.
