Shaoxing city, located in Zhejiang Province, is one of the main export bases for clothing & textile in China and has been enjoying a huge chunk of market share in Africa since 1990.

The Zhejiang Government has established an office to follow the technique rules, standards and trade policies of African countries as well as to analyze African textile and clothing market, collect related information about safety, health and environmental protection.

The export consignmnet of textiles and clothing’s worth US $281,200 were rejected last year after quality inspection. The authorities have established new techniques of quality control.

These would strengthen the tests of harmful substance in textiles, crack down exports of textiles via illegal channel, especially the overstocked textiles, increase the accuracy of price evaluation and finally, set up stations for inspection in Shaoxing Textile City.
