This new machine head specifically developed for belt-loop attaching machines runs at a maximum sewing speed of 2,500 rpm and is equipped with a direct-drive system that improves star-tup performance and shortens sewing time. The belt-loop feeding device is provided with a halfway standby capability for subsequent belt-loops, and its faster belt-loop supply action shortens the time required for supplying belt-loops and helps speed up the machine time to 1.2 seconds per belt-loop (with 28 stitches). With the improved consistency in belt-loop supply action and re-try capability, the machine down time is substantially reduced. The machine quickly and reliably disposes splices without any delays in cycle time. The machine offers improved flexibility due to the newly developed machine head which comes with a computer controlled XLL-Y linear feeding system which enables to program the number of stitches and size of bar tacking. Also simple adjustment of the machine enables changeover of the cutting method between cross cutting and straight cutting. MOL 254 also offers improved operability workability and
maintainability. An electric sliding mechanism is installed in the front hook (near the
operator). To enable computer controlled belt loop suppy performance the machine has
adopted a servo- motor driven belt loop feeding device that feeds the belt loops to the
sewilng position. To improve workability in replacing belt loops the belt loops insertion
opening through which belt loops are supplied to the feeding device is now located on the

GLOBAL STANDARD M700 SERIES
M700 Series can hold a working max. speed of 7,000 rpm. This is because design ideas, such as the specially worked needle bar minimise heat generation, vibration and noise. M700 Series provides the productivity that the factory needs. All subclasses equipped with upper and lower needle/thread cooler devices (HR) that protect the fabrics and threads against heat. Heat is generated on the needle due to friction when the needle penetrated the fabric at high speeds. This cuases thread breakage and/or stitch skipping. M700 Series is equipped with HR device (needle/thread cooler) that always prevents heat generation on the point of the needle, allowing the thread to move smoothly and producing the stitches uniformly. Only Pegasus sewing machines of this class are equipped with the HR device. Produces well-balanced stitches without loss of characteristics of knit fabrics. Simplified threading The machine almost horizontally is possible from the right to the left. Thread chain cutter (KS/KH) Device that cuts the thread chain and disposes of it through vacuum suction eliminates the need for cutting the thread chain by hand, such as using scissors. Two types are available. Vertical type vacuum chain cutter : KS Flat type vacuum chain cutter : KH --! Tape/Thread chain cutter (TK) Switch operated device that cuts the tape and/or thread chain. Pressing
the switch brings the knife down to cut the tape and/or thread chain. lubrication methods. General Operation: The Lubrication System With the introduction of the projectile 419 system, the engineers at Uniwave have developed an air operated, Micro-Drop lubrication system to meet the current demands of the knitting industry. This new system produces an average size oil particle measuring 419 microns which is larger than the Quantum Lubricator particle size. (A micron is one-millionth of a meter). This particle size is large enough to insure that even if the lubricator is improperly set, virtually no oil fog is generated. In addition, the innovative nozzle design drastically reduces the amount of compressed air required for operation. For comparison, the previous generation unit, our Quantum Lubricator, produced an average particle size of 170 microns.
