COMPACT 100-400 spreading machine

COMPACT 100-400 is the new spreading machine generation for bar-feed-systems. Its main features are:

This new machine head specifically developed for belt-loop attaching machines runs at a maximum sewing speed of 2,500 rpm and is equipped with a direct-drive system that improves star-tup performance and shortens sewing time. The belt-loop feeding device is provided with a halfway standby capability for subsequent belt-loops, and its faster belt-loop supply action shortens the time required for supplying belt-loops and helps speed up the machine time to 1.2 seconds per belt-loop (with 28 stitches).

With the improved consistency in belt-loop supply action and re-try capability, the machine down time is substantially reduced.

The machine quickly and reliably disposes splices without any delays in cycle time.

The machine offers improved flexibility due to the newly developed machine head which comes with a computer controlled XLL-Y linear feeding system which enables to program the number of stitches and size of bar tacking. Also simple adjustment of the machine enables changeover of the cutting method between cross cutting and straight cutting.

MOL 254 also offers improved operability workability and maintainability. An electric sliding mechanism is installed in the front hook (near the operator). To enable computer controlled belt loop suppy performance the machine has adopted a servo- motor driven belt loop feeding device that feeds the belt loops to the sewilng position. To improve workability in replacing belt loops the belt loops insertion opening through which belt loops are supplied to the feeding device is now located on the front side of the main unit.
Finally, the machine is equipped as standard with an adjustable stand.

·    Schiffli design possibilities are there. Borer device up to 4 different depths (patented-10 mm) can be provided whereas all the other competitors including ZSK, Barudan, Tajima, etc. just provide one borer depth and even this one acts by removing one of the needles. Whereas our borer device works with a separate motor, drive and mechanism.
·    Jumbo Hooks are installed to avoid unnecessary change of bobbins.
·    Head and hook lubrications are automatic requiring no manual oiling so a saving again in time.
·    Breakages are reduced as well as tensions, because of a tension reducer on every thread bobbin feeder. This reduces tension up to 35 % as compared to other machines working on the same patterns and speeds.
·    The embroidery head is moveable to make adjustments for thick and thin materials.
·    No jump stitches.
·    Cording embroidery speed is up to 1000 mm which is 50-100 % higher than competitors.

The new embroidery heads work at low noise level and without compressed air. They ensure top embroidery quality also when working at maximum speed.
Jumbo-Hooks (Standard) with double bobbin thread capacity, reducing down times for the change of bobbin threads by 50 %.
New, patented thread breakage-monitor system. The thread monitor is integrated in the embroidery head controlling both top- and bobbin thread. The advantages are immediate reaction in case of thread breakages and no downtime due to pollution and cleaning.

M700 Series can hold a working max. speed of 7,000 rpm. This is because design ideas, such as the specially worked needle bar minimise heat generation, vibration and noise. M700 Series provides the productivity that the factory needs.

All subclasses equipped with upper and lower needle/thread cooler devices (HR) that protect the fabrics and threads against heat.

Heat is generated on the needle due to friction when the needle penetrated the fabric at high speeds. This cuases thread breakage and/or stitch skipping.

M700 Series is equipped with HR device (needle/thread cooler) that always prevents heat generation on the point of the needle, allowing the thread to move smoothly and producing the stitches uniformly.

Only Pegasus sewing machines of this class are equipped with the HR device.

Produces well-balanced stitches without loss of characteristics of knit fabrics.

Simplified threading

The machine almost horizontally is possible from the right to the left.

Thread chain cutter (KS/KH)

Device that cuts the thread chain and disposes of it through vacuum suction eliminates the need for cutting the thread chain by hand, such as using scissors.

Two types are available. Vertical type vacuum chain cutter : KS Flat type vacuum chain cutter : KH --!

Tape/Thread chain cutter (TK)

Switch operated device that cuts the tape and/or thread chain. Pressing the switch brings the knife down to cut the tape and/or thread chain.

Backlatching device (BT)

Device that backlatches the thread chain by sewing it back into the seams on the fabric at the start of sewing. Eliminates the need for a bartacker and the operator, reducing time and dramatically increasing efficiency.

Elastic/Elastic lace feeder with metering device (MD)

Uniformly feeds out elastic and/or elastic tape according to the machine speed, achieving neatly finished seams and increasing quality. The feeding amount can be adjusted by the dial.

The new high-speed seamer is lubrication-free, Oil stains on the fabric are a matter of the past.
The newly designed sewing hook of the Pfaff 1053 has a hook base made of wear-resistant synthetic material and reduces the needle-thread tension. Even at the maximum sewing speed of 4,000 s.p.m. it guarantees smooths seams, also on difficult materials.

PFAFF 1183

The PFAFF 1183 is equipped with optimised sewing-hook and needle-bar lubrication. It sews at 5,500 s.p.m. with the greatest of ease and produces superb seam quality.

Compact ready-to-sew unit

The new high-speed seamers are compact units. Not only the thread trimmer, thread wiper, automatic presser foot lift and back tacking mechanism are integrated in the sewing head of thread trimmer machines, but the servo motor as well. Complicated fitting work is superfluous. The machine is delivered ready to sew.

It maintains remainder of upper thread regularly required for sewing of the first stitch regardless of thread type after thread trimming.
Owing to regular remainder of thread, it provides stable condition for sewing of first stitch and improves productivity by reducing defective proportion.

Tajima's lock-stitch chenille embroidery machine offers higher speeds and quieter operation by incorporating advanced mechatronic technologies.

Tajima's advanced mechatronic technology has replaced high-level, complicated machanisms with pulse motors. The results provide stabler emnboirder, high speed, and quieter operation.

Similar to the automatic color change accomplished by presetting for the multi-color standard embroidery head, switching between the lock-stitch chenille head and the multi-color standard embroidery head can be done automatically by presetting.

This function is automatically linked with the M-axis, nipple, and take-up lever clutch drive to simplify elaborate mixed embroidery, which has conventionally been time-consuming.

Zig-zag swing stitch length can be set on the Operation Panel from 6 to 16 mm (in units of 1 mm), which offers much more embroidery expressions with a greater variety of applicable materials from thin to thick ones.

Any combination of stitching methods using Taping (Cording), Coiling, Standard stitching, Zig-zag swing stitching can be selected easily on the Operation Panel.

Nipple stroke can be adjusted on the Operation Panel up to 8 mm (stepless) according to the applied materials. Also lower dead point can be set at any desired height. (Max. 3 mm)

Auto Nipple Lifter

Scale up/down & Rotation Functions

The design can be enlarged or reduced in the X-direction and/or the Y-direction from 50 % up to 200% in 1 %-increments. Rotation is possible in 1 %-increments up to 359°.

Origin Return

The Frame can be manually or automatically returned to the Design Starting Point, even if the End Point differs from the Starting Point.

Frame Back

The frame can be returned in a unit of stitches, stop codes or by designating stitch count.
Automatic Offset/Manual Offset

To facilitate applique works, and frame changing, the frame can be automatically moved to the preset Offset Point.

The Uniwave projectile 419 system produces air propelled oil Micro-Drop that continuously lubricate and protect critical knitting elements while the machine operates.

What are Micro-Drops?

A Micro-Drop is the Uniwave terminology for Projectile Lubrication drops that are:

·    Large enough to completely avoid fog. Average 419 microns in size, they are up to 8 times larger than drops created by previous mist lubrication methods.
·· Small enough so that continuous lubrication is still possible without over lubrication.
·· Small enough so as not to drip and stain fabric. No stripping also means no wasted oil

General Operation: The Lubrication System

With the introduction of the projectile 419 system, the engineers at Uniwave have developed an air operated, Micro-Drop lubrication system to meet the current demands of the knitting industry.

This new system produces an average size oil particle measuring 419 microns which is larger than the Quantum Lubricator particle size. (A micron is one-millionth of a meter). This particle size is large enough to insure that even if the lubricator is improperly set, virtually no oil fog is generated. In addition, the innovative nozzle design drastically reduces the amount of compressed air required for operation. For comparison, the previous generation unit, our Quantum Lubricator, produced an average particle size of 170 microns.

The combination of Uniwave's patented projectile lubricator nozzles and venturi system insures an extremely rugged, reliable system. They have designed this unit to be extremely insensitive to the misuse and other adverse conditions that can occur in today's fast-paced mill environment.

With the introduction of the SPRINT, ZSK has responded to the industry's increasing demand for portable embroidery machines. With approx. 98 KG, the SPRINT can be used as sample machine in production, but also moved into shopping malls or to regional events outside. The max. sewing speed of 1200 RPM guarantees fast production and the changing from cap operation into tubular or regular embroidery and back is really easy. The machine is being operated through the LCD display with on screen design, easy handling and up to 7.2 Million stitches internal memory. Standard-Machine Series

These high-performance machines are designed for producing standard embroidery in border or single motif frames. The available range of variants covers all embroidery applications and is designed for their efficient execution.

The machine control ( TFT unit ) includes all functions to manage the designs and set / adjust the machine, but also includes some interesting tools for diagnostics and service on the machine. The display dialogue is available in many different languages. A LAN-interface allows networking with other ZSK machines and / or PCs. The integrated keyboard allows on board lettering if the optional monogramming software is available.

The head spacing ranges from 24/4 French inches (162.42 mm) to 1200 mm thanks to selective head switch-off on certain machines. The execution of continuously repeated border embroidery is ensured.

The rapid clamping system reduces production set-up times when embroidering partly made-up items in single frames.

Options: Special sequin, cord/loop, double-roller cord and/or boring attachments can be integrated on all machines.
