Stäubli unveils three newly
developed machines
Stäubli Textile will be
participating at ITMA Asia 2008, showing its machinery in Hall
E5 at Booth A13. The exhibits will include a selection of the
latest Stäubli products and will cover Stäubli's
complete range of textile machines, including cam motions and
dobbies, electronic Jacquard machines and harnesses, and
weaving-preparation machines including automatic drawing-in,
leasing and tying machines. All machines will be demonstrated
in operation in various applications. Stäubli Group member
Schönherr Carpet Systems will be showing exclusive carpet
samples produced on the new ALPHA 400 carpet-weaving machine.
Newest Group member DEIMO will be exhibiting
together with Stäubli at ITMA for the first time, showing
state-of-the-art electronic control solutions for textile
machinery. Staubli will be present at Hall E5, Booth A23.
Stäubli will unveil three newly developed
machines at ITMA: the high-mounted S1352 positive cam
motion designed especially for water-jet weavers, the
new LXE 1602 electronic Jacquard machine that
weaves all kinds of lighter fabrics at extremely high speeds,
and the specially adapted Jacquard machine CX 180 with 192
hooks, universally adaptable to needle looms for weaving
ribbons.
Visitors to the Stäubli booth will be
impressed not only by these new machines, but also by the entire
range of machines on exhibit, all of which meet today's exacting
demands for efficient production of high-quality textiles:
v
Four weaving machines will be
equipped with electronic Stäubli Jacquard machines, producing
various fabrics: the LXE 1602 (new) producing
lining, LX 1602 producing automotive seat covers,
LX 1602 producing upholstery fabric, and LX
3202 producing terry cloth.

v
DX 100, designed for universal
weaving of flat fabrics on rapier and projectile looms, will be
exhibited with Stäubli S550, G1000 and HESTA
harnesses. The new CX180 will be exhibited
with HESTA harnesses for narrow fabrics.
v
UNIVAL technology will be demonstrated on two
machines: a UNIVAL 100 single-end-control Jacquard
machine with a harness of 384 ends and a UNIVAL 200,
Stäubli’s first complete Jacquard weaving machine for narrow
fabrics. The latter will be producing beautiful elastic ribbons.
v
Stäubli's broad range of dobbies and cam motions
will be represented by four machines in operation: the
high-speed 1781 cam motion with 10 CARBO
SPEED T6100 heald frames, high-end electronic rotary
dobby 2881 with CARBO SPEED T6200 heald frames plus two
CX180 Jacquard machines for name selvedge, negative
dobby S2700 with 10 heald frames, and the new high-mounted
positive cam motion S1352.

v
The Weaving Preparations Systems division of
Stäubli will be showing its new SAFIR automatic drawing-in
machine designed for demanding requirements, the new
MAGMA warp-tying machine for coarser yarn counts
(complementing the proven TOPMATIC models, also on
exhibit), and the OPAL multi-layer leasing machine
for leasing a 1:1 lease in warps with up to 8 layers.
In addition, various booths of Stäubli
partners will be showing many Stäubli products in applications
with Jacquard machines, dobbies and cam motions.
18,432 hooks for Stäubli’s LX 3202
high-performance Jacquard machine
A new member is joining the family of
Stäubli electronic Jacquard machines – the LX 3202
is now available in a monoblock version with 18,432 hooks.
With the expanded number of hooks, the LX 3202 can be used with
even wider weaving machines, offering weavers higher output and
more freedom in creating patterns.
The large format of the machine is ideal
for high-performance applications in the production of flat
fabrics with high thread densities, especially silk and
upholstery fabrics on air-jet, rapier, or projectile weaving
machines. Other applications are possible as well.
The LX 3202 in the new format keeps the
proven architecture and reliable mechanical design of the
preceding formats – with coaxial shaft system driven by
complementary cams – but it has been reinforced and adapted to
handle higher loads. Like other Jacquard machines by Stäubli, M6
modules are used for individually lifting harness threads. For
operator-friendly programming and controlling, every Jacquard
machine is equipped with a JC6 controller, including a colour
touch-screen and appropriate interface options for data transfer
and networking.
The first LX 3202 machines with 18,432
hooks were recently installed and commissioned, and fully meet
the high expectations of the users.
