Datatex celebrates the 30th
license installation
Datatex marketing team will focus on NOW –
Network Oriented World implementations and will celebrate the
30th license installation of its ERP software. The success of
NOW was proven by license sales in the last six months, as NOW
was chosen as ERP for planning, production, logistics and cost
control by large and medium textile industry leaders.
Among them Arvind and BRFL (Bombay
Rayon Fashions Limited) in India, both interfacing SAP
finance applications, ADO and USA Cotton in United
States, Evershinetex in Indonesia, Olmetto
and Star in Italy are notable customers.
The customers were specifically convinced
by the NOW open platform, its web driven features its
integration with Business Intelligence tools, the scheduling
module and the shop floor applications. Moreover the two
fundamentals of Datatex directions, reliability and
functionality for the textile and apparel industry, are
supported for future sustainability by the use of the latest
standard web-based technologies.
This is the first meeting of the Datatex
marketing team after the signature of the strategic
collaboration with ICM, a SAP Service Partner, and after the
Datatex capital increase from 150,000 Swiss Francs to 4,320,000
Swiss Francs. This is the result of a capital increase of the
current shareholders with the addition of funds received through
an acquisition of 22% of the Datatex shares by ICM ITALIA
S.p.A.
Presenting the new Datatex structure and
the NOW results Ronen Hagin, Datatex Vice president of Marketing
and Sales commented: “The state of the art NOW solution and the
increasing demand for SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
specialized solutions have driven Datatex to fund a growth plan
of the R&D and the customer support areas. Moreover, the entry
of ICM in the Datatex group allows a better integration of NOW
with the SAP platform, improving our business opportunities in
large textile corporations. This also means new opportunities
for the Datatex team members in this challenging new technology
scenario.”
Founded in 1987 DATATEX brought together
the expertise of a leading group of textile management
consultants and the Information Technology skills of an
