Swisstex Technology Center

SwissTex Winterthur AG is a worldwide textile machine manufacturer with a profound knowledge of BCF and T&I spinning processes. The annual world Polyamide congress took place in Zurich, Switzerland from the 27th until 28th of May and was sponsored by SwissTex.

Beside the official presentation during the congress SwissTex provided the participants with several events and information. One big event was the Post-Congress-Seminar which specially focused on the application of Polyamide in respect to the end-application as well for BCF as T&I.

Better cover factor because of higher crimp ‎

Due to the latest texturing technology customers are now able to produce a higher crimped yarn with finer titer in order to get the same cover factor as with coarse titer. This leads to a cost reduction.

Saving of cost due to less power consumption ‎

According to SwissTex, “Our machines were developed in respect to using less compressed air which results in an outstanding reduction of annual costs (approx. 150'000 US$).”

Technology Center ‎

Another big event was the "Open House" at SwissTex facilities in Winterthur where guests from all over the world took the opportunity to participate. They had a chance to see the fully operating Technology Center with a running industrial pilot plant.

The Technology Center provides the latest state of the art technology and will be used for customer trials. Suppliers and customers were impressed not only by the facilities but by SwissTex reputation as an application expert and provider of solutions.‎
