8th Narrow Fabrics Conference organized by the Jakob Müller Institute

The 8th edition of the Narrow Fabrics Conference organized by the Jakob Müller Institute will be held a day prior to the opening of ITMA Asia 2008 at the Holiday Inn Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, China.

This conference is exclusively for customers of Jakob Müller AG and is expected to generate significant interest among the professionals from this field. Starting from  2001, the Jakob Müller Institute of Narrow Fabrics has been organizing the Narrow Fabrics Conference in yearly intervals at different locations such as in Frick (Switzerland), Lainate (Italy), Singapore and Munich (Germany).

The main topic of this year’s conference is “The Narrow Fabrics Sector – Market Opportunities and Smart Products”, focussing on market trends, on high-tech products and technologies as well as on quality assurance in the textile chain. Distinguished speakers originating from the worlds most important textile producing countries such as China, Great Britain, Indonesia, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Hong Kong will present their views to an interested audience.

The 5th International Exhibition & Conference “Textiles Asia 2008”, one of the most promising and enduring exhibition is to be held for the third successive year at Karachi Expo Centre, Pakistan from 04 - 07 April 2008.

Muller will be present at Textile Asia with its local agent Associated Textile Consultants (ATC) at Hall 5 and shall display following machines:

v     RD3 8/420 Warp Knitting Machine with weft insertion.

v     SB 48-C-2 Roller Smooth Calender for Dyeing, Finishing, Fixation and Coating.

v     Varitex V5M 8/30 for simple Elastic/Non Elastic Tapes and Belts.

According to ATC, so far there are more than 300 Muller machines running in Pakistan.  ATC was established in 1964 to provide textile technology to the Pakistani industry. The group has diversified operations from textile services, textile components manufacturing to food processing. With offices located in Karachi and Lahore, it provides full sales service to an extensive customer base throughout the textile industry in Pakistan.

From threads to the finished made-up products, Muller possesses the appropriate systems, solutions and in-depth teaching possibilities for the ribbons and narrow fabrics industry with regards to service and training, warping, CAD/CAM systems, weaving, warp crochet knitting, label production, dyeing and finishing, make-up and winding for the production of ribbons, tapes, belts, zipper tapes, hook and loop fasteners, labels with woven or slit selvedges, gadget scarves, crochet tapes, lace products, nets, spacer fabrics, etc.
