Benninger: New developments in the
finishing of knitwear
Benninger AG has acquired Küsters Textile GmbH, the German
supplier of wet finishing plants for the textile industry with
head office in Zittau and subsidiaries in China. Küsters will
be integrated in the manufacturing network of the Benninger
Group. This takeover will make the Benninger Group the market
leader for the production of wet finishing plants, and it will
provide the group with an excellent global platform for
tackling future challenges in the machinery industry.
Benninger AG is an international
corporation which has developed from its foundation in 1859 to
become a global leader in the manufacturing of textile
machinery, evolving over the years into the role of an integral
process partner for the textile industry.
As well as improving the textile machines
themselves, Benninger is also improving the accompanying processes. In
the fabric line it has been possible to increase process reliability
with the new REACTA DM steamer and retention accumulator. Benninger
has also been able to achieve effective improvements in terms of
maintenance and efficiency of the EXTRACTA washing compartments.
Benninger has consolidated the knitwear line with the introduction of
TRIKOFLEX LT-V retention compartment.
The REACTA DM washing and retention unit, which
is available in a variety of module sizes. With the cylinder dryer for
knitwear (a joint development with WUMAG), Benninger is
introducing a global innovation which can be used particularly for the
in-between drying process. This brings improvements in terms of
processing and production costs.
The strain on the environment is steadily
increasing – a fact which has not gone unnoticed at Benninger. In
fact, Benninger is working hard to deliver environmentally friendly
plants, and the company's cooperation with MDS Prozesstechnik
GmbH from Germany has already started to pay off.
In Asia in particular, water is scarce and waste
water is a serious issue. Concepts for fresh water processing,
planning of partial current guidance systems with reuse of used water
and waste water processing have all already been successfully
developed and implemented by Benninger under the banner of "zero
discharge".
In the area of textile finishing, the recent
innovations by Benninger are as follows:
v
TRIKOFLEX LT-V retention compartment.
v
TRIKOFLEX LT-DB washing compartment.
v
EXTRACTA LH washing compartment.
The Swiss company Benninger produces machinery
and plants which meet the highest standards for weaving preparation
and textile finishing. The range of Benninger products is rounded off
with tire cord systems and the Benninger automation range.
The finishing division of Benninger is
represented in Pakistan by Acmatex Corporation, which
will be present at Textile Asia exhibition to offer information about
the open width wet finishing ranges, (bleaching, dyeing, mercerizing
etc) for woven and knitted fabrics.
According to Acmatex Corporation, we have already
sold 25 continuous finishing ranges (for bleaching, dyeing and
mercerizing) in Pakistan.
Acmatex Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd. was incorporated
in 1966 and has been serving the textile industry for the last 42
years. The Head Office is based in Karachi with a branch office in
Lahore. Acmatex has a large team of qualified textile and electronic
engineers and competent after sales services in all parts of Pakistan.
