New CEO for Trevira
group

On February 18th 2008, Uwe Wöhner took charge of
the management of Trevira GmbH as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Uwe
Wöhner (48) comes from Grammer AG, Amberg.
From February 2001 to September 2007, he was in
charge of automotive products sector as a member of the board. In
addition, since March 2002, he assumed responsibility as labour
director for the whole Grammer group.
Following his professional education and
successful completion of his engineering studies, Wöhner proceeded in
the next twenty years to work exclusively in the automotive supply
industry. Among the companies he joined in this time were Ymos AG in
Offenbach, Lemmerz KG in Königswinter and he was also MD and labour
Director of TRW Deutschland GmbH in Barsinghausen, an internationally
active technology concern.
Uwe Wöhner is married and has two children.
Wöhner said, “I am looking forward to my new task. I feel confident
that Trevira will continue to maintain its momentum of growth through
expansion in the World markets. Further, we will work towards further
exploiting the synergy emerging from the strength of our owner
Reliance and the competence of Trevira to continue to be a leading
innovative European specialty fibre producer.”

Trevira GmbH, a company of Reliance Group, India
is an innovative European manufacturer of high value branded polyester
fibres and filament yarns. Production operations are located in
Germany, Denmark, Belgium and Poland. In 2006, Trevira had 1900
employees and sales of around 329 million euros. The head office of
the company is located in Bobingen, near Augsburg.
