Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A.
Founded in Pordenone in 1911 as a small workshop to
manufacture textile components for the local market, Savio
Macchine Tessili is one of the leaders in the yarn finishing
machine sector ranging from wool, cotton, linen and silk to
synthetic fibres. In 2001 Savio became part of the Itema
Group, Savio Macchine Tessili brand is known for manufacturing
and marketing: automatic winders, two-for-one twisters,
electronic assembly winders, winders for continuous bulking
and shrinkage, open-end rotor spinning frames. Savio also
operates a technical assistance and spare parts network
throughout the world to ensure quick and efficient service to
customers. Savio is represented in Pakistan by Acmatex
Corporation.
The brand new POLAR automatic winder;
in all its versions: from manual feeding and doffing up to the
linked version with automatic doffing is Savio’s portrayal of
the future winding technology. Another new product in the
twisting technology field is Savio Twist&Twist.

The FlexiRotorS 3000 / Duo-Spinner
completes the range of products on show. In the meanwhile, thanks to
the design features of FiexiRotorS, Savio has set up a profitable and
effective collaboration with AMSLER, for programming effect yarns.
Polar winders
Polar has been highly popular with customers in
Pakistan since its debut at Textile Asia 2006 exhibition in Karachi
(Pakistan). The innovative solutions proposed by the new generation of
these winding machines have met the winding demands of Pakistani
customers. By being part of the Itema Group and, in particular; the
close synergy with Itema Weaving, it has also made it possible to
anticipate the most suitable winding solutions to optimize weaving
productivity.

The link solution that, with the new link type
“BUFFER” permits direct quick and effective feeding of spinning frame
bobbins besides total interfacing flexibility with all bobbin
movements (single or multi-step).

A great number of important and emerging markets
are investing in this type of machine, mainly because it is very
difficult to find local labour and also because of the qualitative and
productive advantages that this solution necessarily entails.
So in these countries Savio is seeing a rapid
transformation from systems with spinning frames without doffing and
free-standing winders to the completely automatic link solution.
Special attention is given to “compact” and/or
condensation spinning where this type of solution is required due to
the high value of the yarn and also because it allows the quality of
the bobbin to be monitored by means of the spinning frame spindle
identification system.

This solution, which entails manual loading of
the bobbins with manual and automatic package doffing, is presented
with:

different solutions for air splicing (Air splicer),
water splicing (Water splicer), heat splicing (Heat splicer) and
mechanical splicing (Twin splicer), in other words the “Total
Splicing System” that completely covers all cut cotton, wool,
linen and silk fibre materials.

various types of bobbin feeding from 180 mm to 450 mm
with different materials and counts.

automatic feeding from package.
v
direct precision length monitoring (CAM).
v
take-up packages with different taper ratios with
electronic on-off antipatterning system and C.A.P.

packages for dyeing to which monitoring of package
density with the changing diameter is associated (CAD).

a highly efficient automatic doffing trolley, of new
conception, completely incorporated with the machine’s monitoring and
control system.
Cosmos
COSMOS is another one of Savio‘s proposals in the
traditional two-for-one twisting field, designed specifically to be
highly economical by means of constructive solutions that mean a lower
investment and less energy consumed.
Machine production, quality of the package and of
the processed yarn together with technological flexibility is the
essential requirement for each textile market. These attributes are
maintained at the same level as the Geminis and Geminis S models which
will continue to be part of the range of products being offered.

were to be analyzed in countries where productions are ongoing today
we would see that the predominant part is put into the investment and
in energy
This calls for the need to propose a machine that
requires a much smaller investment together with a range of spindles
optimized by:

a rotor range,
v
geometries and implementation techniques that will
maximize feeding package weights,
v
a wide range of processable counts and materials,
v
a reduction in the energy input.
Savio Twist&Twist
This is a brand new technology that by means of a
“dual twisting stage” lets you increase production by at least 33%
consuming the same amount of energy used for the conventional 2x1
process.
The weights and dimensions of the assembly wound
packages in feeding, the interventions for maintenance and the room
operator’s work loads are the same as the conventional process.
This process does, in fact produce a twisted yarn
by forming two yarn balloons - one that is more external with an “S’
rotation and the other internal with a ‘Z” rotation achieved by means
of a “mechanical differential speed system” that creates a triple
twist of the yarn with each turn of the spindle.

This Savio patented device has been made in
collaboration with SKF who, built and tested it.
The increase in production mentioned earlier
automatically leads to an equivalent reduction in the number of
spindles and, therefore, in system dimensions, saving on the space
taken up, conditioning costs, lighting and a reduction in noise.
The return of the investment which of course
differs from country to country according to the different local
energy costs, is very quick and of absolute interest.
The T& T device can be applied on all spindles
currently in the SAVIO range, that is, on the Gemini, Geminis S and
Cosmos twisters.
Flexirotors 3000
The Savio FlexiRotorS 3000 / Duo-Spinner rotor
spinner model is the machine that can meet the most diversified
requirements of the Open End market.
Savio’s choice to conjugate the concept of
maximum production capacity with yarn quality together with production
flexibility seems to be more and more the winning factor in this
sector; even for up and coming markets.
By using the Suessen spinning unit together with
the separate fronts solution and a completely electronic machine,
where the work parameters are all set and monitored by the centralized
PC, give the customer the guarantee of having the ideal solution at
his disposal to control production.
Downtime for material and/or count change, the
possibility to plan production for a single side instead of for the
whole machine, programming the 2, 3 or 4 automatic trolleys
intelligently make this machine truly “unique” out of all those
currently offered on the market.
