Founded in 1952, MESDAN is now considered as one of the world-wide leaders in the production of joining devices for textile industry with a complete range of splicers and knotters, both in automatic and hand-operated versions, to be fitted on all types of textile machine to join yarns of different nature (in type of fibre, structure and spinning system). Mesdan is represented in Pakistan by Madhani Associates.

Established in 1976, Madhani Associates has been promoting quality textile machines and accessories from Europe and USA from companies like Mesdan, Bellwether, Caipo Automazione Industriale S.r.l., Hunter Associates Laboratory Inc., Icomatex, Lawer-Italy, Morrison Textile Machinery Co., Obem S.p.A., Scaglia S.p.A., Zancaner S.r.l. and Lakshmi Machine Works Limited.

Mesdan S.p.A will participate at TEXTILE ASIA 2008, in the booth of the local agent MADHANI ASSOCIATES, and will have various splicers and laboratory equipment on show.

From the Mesdan-Lab division, the exhibits will be: AUTODYN 300 – automatic strength tester, the new Splice Scanner III – portable yarn strength tester, NATI - neps and trash indicator, TWISTTRONIC – electronic yarn twist tester, LAB KNITTER – laboratory single cylinder knitting machine to check dyeing uniformity and evaluate dye affinity.

AUTODYN 300, 1-24 position automatic strength tester, can be used either in the automatic modality for the single yarns tensile testing or in the semiautomatic modality for the LEA test, for fabric, hanks and industrial yarns. It is modular, versatile, and with a very competitive price, conceived for testing all kind of textiles in compliance with the International Standards.

SPLICE SCANNER III, is the new generation of the well known former Splice Scanner II. The upgraded unit, recently presented to ITMA 2007, includes more versatile testing methods, that allow to obtain the same results as a stationary tester can give: the tenacity report. Moreover, it includes a very useful routine to quickly check the efficiency of the splicing heads of the multi-spindle automatic winders; finally it is provided with a USB port, for the saving of the data on a flash memory, to be then downloaded to an Excel file in the PC.

AUTODYN 300 and SPLICE SCANNER III are the result of 17 years of experience of MESDAN-LAB division in the design of strength tester. More than 500 units of the stationary units and almost 1000 portable testers have been supplied to customers all around the word so far.

In addition, from the yarn joining division, the well known splicers Aquasplicer 4923B, Jointair 115, Jointair 4941A, Jointair 110R will be on show, installed on the ATS track system.

AQUASPLICER 4923B is the splicer mostly required in Pakistan, where around 1800 are in use today. This equipment uses air plus water as joining means, and is the best and only solution for splicing with good strength and appearance any type of cotton yarns: twisted yarns, OE, core spun, mercerized and compact yarns included. 4923B can be installed on any type of manual machine (like winders, assembly winders, twisters, creels, etc.) thanks to the ATS (Air Track Supply) system, and is also available in the automatic versions for the Savio Espero and Orion winders.
