The alliance between HUNTSMAN Textile Effects and BRÜCKNER offers comprehensive solutions

The two technological market leaders HUNTSMAN Textile Effects and the BRÜCKNER group will cooperate more intensively in product development and customer service. The aim of the alliance is to offer more comprehensive consulting in the field of machinery technology, process engineering and dye/textile auxiliary recipes.

In recent years, finishing processes have became increasingly extensive and hence the dye and textile auxiliary recipes accordingly complex. In addition, the global textile finishing industry is confronted with growing market dynamics and a higher pressure of competition. To be able to remain at the forefront of the international market, new products or innovative processes and technologies must be rapidly developed into marketable specialities and released for series production. Therefore, the textile finishing industry has a high expectation to dyestuff and chemical manufacturers as well as to textile machinery producers in order to deliver state-of-the-art and comprehensive consulting competence. The HUNTSMANN / BRÜCKNER alliance was formed in recognition of this demand and is fully geared to meet and fulfill the market requirements.

HUNTSMAN Textile Effects and the companies of the BRÜCKNER group complement each other perfectly with their technological competences. HUNTSMAN Textile Effects offers a broad range of textile chemicals and dyes to improve the quality and the fastness of the textiles and materials to  be finished. BRÜCKNER Textile Technologies (woven and knitted fabric) and BRÜCKNER Plant Technologies (technical textiles and coating technologies) are system partners for complete finishing line systems.

The cooperation of HUNTSMAN Textile Effects and BRÜCKNER comprises the following fields:

Continuous dyeing of woven fabric

A uniform, reproducible and migration-free dyeing result across the length and width of the fabric for smaller and bigger batches is an ever-recurring challenge for dyers. With its innovative Thermosol concept for woven fabric (Hotflue POWER-COLORTHERM / IR-radiant heater POWER-INFRATHERM), BRÜCKNER Textile Technologies pioneers new paths in continuous textile dyeing.

Dr. Michael Effing, Vice President Europe, Africa and Middle East - HUNTSMAN Textile Effects - explains, that the companies core competence is the production of dyestufffs and textile auxiliaries, which fulfil the highest technical requirements for Pad-Batch- and Continuous-Dyeing of cellulosic fibres and PES/CEL-blends. He also states, that HUNTSMAN Textile Effects has completed the portfolio of reactive dyes with the pioneering innovation of the Novacon NC concept (Non Contrasting) for a trouble free production of earth tone shades with excellent fastness properties.

Functionalization and coating of textiles

In the field of coating BRÜCKNER Plant Technologies and HUNTSMAN Textile Effects commence their collaboration with an innovative launch for textile functionalization in finishing and coating: a cost- and energy-saving line for double-side effects. The new technology manages the processing route with just one drying step thereby saving significant time and energy resources.

Axel Pieper, CEO of the BRÜCKNER group explains that the company has established itself as the market leader for the coating and finishing of technical textiles. BRÜCKNER Plant Technologies is a systems solution provider with the most comprehensive product portfolio in coating machines, drying and heat treatment ovens as well as other auxiliary equipment such as winding systems.

Depending on the type of fiber and the desired textile effects, HUNTSMAN and BRÜCKNER have developed a multitude of tailor-made line concepts with the corresponding process engineering parameters. In 2008  these concepts will be presented in the frame of customer symposiums, the first of which will be held in Pakistan and India in the Spring of 2008.
