Luescher AG with extended Management Team

The international sales success of the digital UV-platesetter for conventional offset plates has motivated the Board of Directors of Luescher AG, Switzerland, to extend the Management Team as of January 1, 2008.

Martin Tschumi was appointed Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Luescher AG as of January 1, 2008. Martin Tschumi former Chief Financial Officer in Luescher’s Management Team joined the company during the acquisition of Luescher through the Buy Out Central Europe I (BOCE I) in September 2006. Based on his existing responsibility he will continue with Luescher’s customer oriented management philosophy and is pleased to accept this new challenge.

The former Chief Executive Officer Kurt Steidle was elected member of the Board of Directors. Furthermore, he remains member of the Management Team and as Director of Sales & Marketing keeps his responsibilities to manage the global distribution network. The high potential of innovations in all business divisions of Luescher AG and the tremendous sales potential of Luescher’s digital platesetters will be a huge and time consuming challenge in the Drupa year 2008.

Franz Repp was promoted International Sales Director Indirect Channels and will report to Kurt Steidle. Repp was previously responsible and very successful as Sales Manager with his local distributors in Germany and the Benelux. He successfully introduced the new XPose! UV Platesetter for conventional offset plates with about 30 installations in Germany within the first year. His customer reference list shows well-known names like (Bertelsmann) in Pössneck, Niedermeyer in Regensburg, Fink in Ostfildern, Roto-Offset Bagel in Unterkaka or Westend in Essen as top-class sheet- and web-offset printers in the German printing industry.
